Simple doesn’t mean easy
Matildas sees itself as a simple local restaurant. Here, as in all small towns, accessibility and unpretentiousness are important for success. But there are high ambitions, which are sometimes held back so as not to seem too grand. The gastronomy is high caliber with serious flavors, craftsmanship, and creativity. Vegetables, fruit, berries, and flowers come from the restaurant’s own gardens or from organic and KRAV-labeled farms in Ockelbo. They also have a great interest in drinks and are happy to highlight interesting and local alternatives on the menu.
