Another restaurant located in the old town area, Peet Ruut is in a building with historical origins and a traditional exterior that doesn’t match with the interior. Restaurateur Jaagup Jalakas has green blood in his veins, having grown up with organic standards. This is, of course, reflected in the kitchen, even though he is not an active chef. This is a simple, rustic gastronomy that takes sustainability very seriously — mainly through close cooperation with small, local producers who are allowed to shape the menu.
