“We try to do the best we can,” explains Stefan Ekengren, who is not much for big words but lets his actions speak for themselves. Located in the center of Stockholm, Hantverket is a large restaurant that attracts many guests. Its foundation is Swedish culinary craftsmanship, influencing everything from ingredients to cooking techniques. Sustainability is not something specifically emphasized, but when you work as Stefan does, it’s par for the course. Above all, we want to highlight the knowledge of the ingredients, the craftsmanship, the respect for farmers and producers — as well as the approach for taking care of the staff and supporting employee development.
