Simple, hearty bistro
The setting is simple and unpretentious: wooden benches, wooden tables, chalkboards, candles, and open bottles of red wine on the bar counter. But the atmosphere is warm and welcoming, largely due to the friendly service and the fact that half of the guests seem to be good friends with the owners. It’s easy to see why Bistro Odette has so many regulars—this is honest, straightforward cooking with a clear identity. As for the wine list, it’s all about France, with very few exceptions.
