Fine dining with a heritage
Kolm Sõsarat means Three Sisters, and in this case the sisters are Kerti, Kadri and Triin, who share a penchant for simplistic yet beautifully plated food that showcase south Estonia’s best ingredients. Almost everything, from honey to chanterelles and blackberries, has been foraged in the surroundings or produced at the restaurant’s own farm, using traditional, low-intervention methods. The venue is a picture-perfect, yellow wooden villa, offering a quiet and friendly dining atmosphere, with a handicraft vibe.
Sustainability highlights
- Harvests ingredients from a garden behind the restaurant as well as their own farm 4 km away
- Locally sources nearly 100 percent of produce
- Avoids most imported products such as peppers, lemons, olive oil, and exotic fruits
- Applies traditional cooking methods that minimize the use of plastic
- Creates little food waste, repurposing leftovers as chicken feed or compost for the garden
- Tells a story to explain the reason behind every decision
