Poetry on a plate
Nestled in the historic woodland gardens of Leonardslee Estate lies Restaurant Interlude, where Chef Jean Delport continues to impress with an ever-changing tasting menu reflecting the surroundings. The ingredients read like poetry: nettles, hogweed, water mint, estate deer… A substantial part is harvested in the estate’s own gardens, other components are delivered fresh from local farmers, providing they share the restaurant’s – and this particular jury’s – penchant for seasonal and sustainable food.
Sustainability highlights
- Focuses on organic produce
- Uses local ingredients from their own farms and nearby growers
- Allows the seasons to control the menu
- Has several initiatives to reduce food waste Committed to staff well-being and providing career development opportunities
