A mix of originality and passion
It was only a matter of time before Direkte would depart from its location at the La Boqueria market. To meet demand from the restaurant’s increasing popularity, Chef Arnau Munio and his team need a larger space. They’ll soon be moving to a new location in the Eixample district, going from 14 square meters to over 150. But even with new premises, the cooking style will still center on transforming first-class ingredients into dishes with Asian flavors. The wine list will also probably remain short and concise to keep the focus on the plate.
