With a staff of thirteen catering to twenty-five or so guest, it goes without saying that the service at Coda is great – attentive and knowledgeable yet discreet. The flavours are as bold as the presentation is restrained; this is sustainable, German cooking at its peak. Chef and co-owner René Frank has an interesting approach in the kitchen, where local, organic produce reigns. Originally a pastry chef, he incorporates a dessert mindset into every dish, blurring the line between traditionally sweet or savoury dishes.
