A friendly place with ambitions
Brikz is the dream project of chef Arne Anker, formerly of Oud Sluis and The Jane-fame, and his close-knit team. This small Berlin restaurant is however more down-to-earth than his previous workplaces, in several ways. Rare herbs are paired with seasonal, regional produce, and the kitchen has a strong focus on fermenting, pickling, and making infusions. The menu consists of five or seven dishes, unless you settle for the à la carte-option. A great way to spend the night, surrounded by art and exposed brick walls (hence the name)!
Sustainability highlights
- Work closely with local producers whenever possible
- Bake all bread in-house to reduce transport and packaging
- Focus on fermenting, pickling, and infusions
- Replaced all lamps and use digital heating to monitor and reduce energy consumption
