When chef Rick Swinkels and entrepreneur Isidoor van Esch opened their restaurant in a permanent space, the concept had already won hearts across Amsterdam as a pop-up. Bennies found its true home in an urban warehouse in Schinkelkwartier, where the seed of the idea could take root. Together with local artisans and designers, the duo created a modern, casual setting full of character—mirroring the spirit of the kitchen. Natural wines flow alongside the dishes, from both celebrated producers and lesser-known gems waiting to be discovered.
