There’s beauty in the ugly
Right on a long and wide sandy beach is Carbis Bay Estate, a luxurious resort that offers everything from simple seaside restaurants to Ugly Butterfly — Adam Handling’s zero waste restaurant that opened back in 2021. It’s proof that sustainability doesn’t have to stand in the way of high gastronomic ambitions. The beautiful, sophisticated dishes are based on the local area, and guests are often introduced to the people behind the ingredients. The single best dish, if you ask us, is the lobster with beef fat. But we still recommend going for the plant-based menu. This is creative, conscious cooking at its finest!
