Hjem is the project of Swedish chef Alex Nietosvuori and his partner, Northumberland-born Ally Thompson. The view from the dining room is a clear indication of what is served at this seemingly unpretentious restaurant, located in a small, family-run, homely hotel. Here, ingredients from fields, farms, and forests are skillfully and delicately refined by the chefs in the kitchen. The style is Scandinavian, and the ingredients are hyper-local.
