“Game may contain shot”, reads the warning on the menu. Or is it a promise? Although situated in London, Brat seems to be close to nature in every way. We learn that all fish are wild, native and sustainably caught, by day boats. And – when restaurants claim to be serving “whole animals”, they rarely do it in one go, but at Brat, you are likely to get served the whole turbot or crab, shells, bones and all, rather than in the shape of little cubes. Unpretentiously working to make the world a better place, one bite at a time.
